About Isabela

I’m currently a 4th-year medical student (MBBS) at James Cook University, with a strong academic background in Biochemistry, having completed my undergraduate degree with College Honors from Earlham College in the USA. My education has given me a deep understanding of the sciences, particularly in areas like biology, chemistry, and human physiology, which I now apply both in medical school and in tutoring. I’ve supported students across different levels — from high school to university — and take pride in helping others grasp challenging concepts with clarity and confidence. I bring a professional, student-centered approach to every lesson and aim to foster a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and stay motivated. About the lesson

As a passionate tutor with a background in Biochemistry, I tailor my lessons to meet each student’s unique learning needs. I tutor students of all levels and ages — from high school science students to university undergraduates — and focus on building both understanding and confidence. Lesson Structure & Teaching Style: Each lesson runs for approximately 1 hour, and the first session is dedicated to getting to know the student, understanding their goals, and identifying key areas for support. I usually start with a short diagnostic assessment to gauge their current level and design a personalized study plan accordingly. I use a mix of active recall, problem-solving techniques, and conceptual explanations to reinforce understanding, encourage critical thinking, and improve exam performance. I believe learning is most effective when it's two-way, so I always welcome feedback and adjust my approach as needed. Whether you're aiming to pass an exam, improve your grades, or get ahead, my sessions are structured, supportive, and focused on helping you succeed.
