About Harris
A mathematics graduate and a part time artist, I am a patient and empathetic tutor with a strong love of mathematics. Mathematics in school has a strong emphasis on testing and "getting the right answer", it can leave many students struggling and disheartened if test results and memorization are emphasized repeatedly over understanding. I feel this is a shame, and If I can make the learning journey less painful or stressful for a student, I would love to do my part to help.
I am 32 years old, I have a BSc in Mathematics from Victoria University and a strong interest in education. I have a deep knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, calculus and statistics and a strong desire to help students on there individual journey.

I believe strongly in meeting you wherever you are in your journey, and helping you find the best way for you to learn.
I can tutor any high school level. I believe a mix of explanation and discussion followed by working through examples and exercises is the best approach. I am currently offering my tutoring services at a discounted rate while I gain experience as a tutor.
