About Valentine
I am a modern pragmatic thinker deeply interested in how theory becomes practical action. My lessons in Maths and Science are built on these core ideas: Exploring how environments shape minds: I believe the learning environment should be dynamic and engaging. I intentionally structure our sessions to move beyond passive listening, creating a space where students feel safe to hypothesise, test ideas, and, crucially, make mistakes that lead to breakthroughs. Exploring how ideas become action: Maths and Science are the ultimate toolkits for action. My teaching connects abstract formulae and scientific laws directly to real-world applications. We don't just solve equations; we use them to predict motion, understand chemical balance, and analyse data—turning theoretical "ideas" into demonstrable "actions."

Welcome! I specialise in transforming frustration into fascination across both Mathematics and the Sciences. My goal is not just to improve your grades, but to fundamentally change how you approach challenging subjects. My Philosophy: Deep Understanding, Lasting Results I firmly believe that mental discipline comes from real problem-solving, not routine drills—a principle that guides every session. For Maths: We move past rote memorisation. I help students grasp the foundational concepts and logical pathways, enabling them to tackle any problem, whether it's algebra, calculus, or geometry, with genuine insight. For Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology): We connect complex theory to the real world. We explore the "why" behind the experiments, making abstract concepts from chemical reactions to physical laws—intuitive, engaging, and memorable.
