About Ned

Hey there! My name is Ned and I'm a writer and director from London. I graduated from the University of East Anglia with a Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing back in 2018. Since then, I have gone on to write and direct several short films, which have been shown at festivals across the globe. I am currently in post-production for my debut feature film, a Folk Horror set in Wales. I want to use the skills I learnt whilst at University (as well as seven years of Tutoring experience) to help you fall in love with English as a subject or help you realise your full potential as a writer. From my studies, I discovered how the best work is done when people work and edit together. A great lesson should always be more of a dialogue than a monologue!

About the lesson

As someone who had tutors growing up, I know how important and valuable one-on-one sessions can be. In the classroom you may not be seen, valued or heard. In the first free lesson, we will figure out how we both work and from there, try and create a lesson plan in a way that helps you. There isn't a one-size-fits-all. When it comes to writing, I often come back to the Walter Murch quote of it being the "process of discovery of what you really do know". Together we can go on that discovery in a creative space to help build your creative project or get you the result you always wanted.
