About Fahmida

I’m a dedicated and approachable tutor with a strong passion for helping young learners grow academically and gain confidence in their abilities. With a background in environmental science and health, and currently studying a Master of Sustainability at Deakin University, I bring both subject knowledge and a deep understanding of how to engage students in meaningful learning. My tutoring approach is calm, encouraging, and structured. I believe in creating a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes, because that’s how real learning happens. I take the time to understand each student’s unique learning style and tailor my lessons to suit their needs. Whether your child needs help with English, Math, or wants to explore environmental topics, I’m here to make learning enjoyable and effective. I’ve worked with children in both academic and support roles and hold a Working with Children Check. My goal is to help students become more confident, independent learners who are not just prepared for school, but excited by it.

About the lesson

As a passionate and patient tutor, I focus on building strong foundations in English, Maths, and Environmental Science for primary students in Years 3 to 5. My approach is centered around making learning engaging, interactive, and confidence-building.

I use a combination of visual aids, real-life examples, and guided practice to ensure students not only understand the material but also enjoy the learning process. I tailor each lesson to suit the child’s learning style, whether they’re visual, auditory, or hands-on learners, while keeping lessons aligned with the school curriculum.

Each session typically runs for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s attention span and needs. I always begin with a quick review of the previous topic, introduce new content in manageable steps, and finish with practice questions and a short reflection to reinforce key takeaways.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety and am currently pursuing a Master of Sustainability. I have a strong academic background in science, literacy, and numeracy, and experience working with children in both educational and professional environments.

My lessons are ideal for primary school students who need support with homework, want to strengthen their academic skills, or simply grow in confidence at school.
