About Lilani
I am a published poet and a writer with an Honors Degree in English, currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies at the University of British Columbia- Okanagan Campus.
I have worked with school students of multiple age groups as an English Literature teacher. As an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, I taught English Literature to undergraduate students.
I use many digital platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet to organize remote classes and use Padlet and Storyboard as creative, collaborative tools.
I'm still in touch with all of my students, and I'm sure you will enjoy taking a journey across literature in English from around the world with me.

Lessons can be tailored to meet the requirements of students from Primary School to Undergraduate Level.
We will learn the socio-political and historical details behind literary works.
We will learn how and why the writers- poets, playwrights, authors, and performance artists create their works and how their works relate to the world we live in today.
We will learn about the tools writers use to set their work apart and the key themes they address in their works.
After each lesson, we will discuss excerpts from the texts to analyse them.
