About Andrew
Hi! I'm Andy, a mechanical engineer turned Marriage and Family Therapist. I recently graduated with honors in mechanical engineering and am now pursuing my master's in therapy—a unique combination that gives me both technical expertise and deep understanding of how people learn and overcome challenges. I'm passionate about helping students not only master STEM subjects, but also build the tools, habits, and mindset to thrive in any area of learning. I specialize in working with students who struggle with ADHD or other forms of neurodiversity, drawing from my own experiences navigating these challenges throughout my education. My goal is to help you fully understand concepts while fostering your natural curiosity and love for learning.

I help students truly master subjects by building deep understanding, not just memorizing formulas. Drawing from my mechanical engineering background, I teach students to analyze and break down complex problems systematically—the same approach engineers use to solve real-world challenges.
My focus is on understanding concepts, not just getting the right answer. For math topics, this means visualizing problems and connecting them to real-world examples that make abstract concepts click. Whether it's understanding why calculus works the way it does or seeing how algebra applies to everyday situations, I make learning intuitive.
I believe every subject—from basic arithmetic to advanced multivariable calculus—becomes exponentially easier when explained in a way that makes sense to you. My goal is to help you develop the problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding that will serve you long after our sessions end.
