About Sierra
I am currently a PhD student studying environmental engineering, so I have taken many math courses, from algebra to calculus to differential equations, and have aced them all. I have a passion for math and teaching, which makes math tutoring especially enjoyable for me. I have worked for Mathnasium, Huntington Learning Center, and most recently I was a private tutor for a high school student taking AP calculus.

I have over three years of experience tutoring K-12 students in math, both one-on-one and in group settings. From this, I have learned how to adapt my teaching methods to the student, whether they struggle to focus, don't think math is fun, or are bored to death and need to be challenged. I will tailor my lessons to the students needs whether that is helping with homework, developing better study habits, test taking strategies, or finding ways to understand concepts in a way that makes sense to them.
