About McKayla
I am currently a graduate student in the Humanities studying Cultural Anthropology. I am also in the process of obtaining my TESOL certification as well as my overall teaching certificate.
I have my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Global Studies.
I am a native English speaker and am located in the Eastern Time Zone. I am willing to work around your schedule!

My teaching methods revolve around what you want to get out of learning English. Whether that’s learning to write better (personal, academic, or professional), or simply boost your vocabulary and confidence, I’m here for you!
A typical lesson plan would start off by asking what your goals are and then I will tailor the lesson plan to you.
For a beginner I would recommend we start off with some simple stories that can be easily translated into your native language and then go through some basic grammar rules and vocabulary. Then I would introduce root words and how to figure out how to spell and say more difficult words and how to decipher their meaning.
For more advanced learners, I would delve deeper into more complex concepts such as ellipsis & substitution for more stylistic writing, nominalization, how to sound like a native English speaker, and more advanced vocabulary & style.
I can plan these lessons for any skill level and accommodate anyone’s needs.
