About Vivian Claudia
Being a teaching assistant for 4 years has really taught me how to best instruct each student in my classes. I do try and teach my students as a whole but as time goes on I focus my teaching to fit the students needs and learning abilities. It is not only my job to help students understand new concepts in a particular subject but to create a learning environment that provides them with skills that are transferred over to any learning experience they encounter.

I base my teaching method on the type of learner my students are. The different types of learning require unique approaches to help students learn and retain information. My goal as a teacher is to help students scaffold their learning. The first step is to learn the basic principle and build on that with each new concept that stems from it. I can create various methods to help students better understand the concepts they wish to learn. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a current graduate student in biology. I have been a teaching assistant throughout both academic careers which has helped me find new and better ways to help teach students.
