About Jin Hui
I am a PhD student studying Chemistry at Imperial College London. I like helping students understand concepts and improve their grades, which is why I signed up to be a tutor.
During my A-level years, I was also selected as a Chemistry mentor to assist one of my peers. This reinforced my understanding of A-level Chemistry, and was a valuable teaching experience. It was especially rewarding to see my peer's grade improving from a D during the preliminaries to a B for A levels.
I have also been tutoring A-level student throughout my undergraduate studies, and have been in charge of delivering university tutorial lessons.

I am a firm believer of the statement 'practice makes perfect'. My teaching style is to first get students to understand the concept that they would need, and then back it up with different kinds of practice questions.
Previously, I was a tutor with Team Up from September 2015 to April 2016, where I taught KS3 Maths. I had the chance to tailor my approach to keep the attention of students from a young age group, and ensure that they understood what was being taught instead of merely memorising methods to answer exam questions. Throughout this period, I also received professional guidance from my Programme Manager on ways to improve my teaching style.
