About Matthews
I am currently pursuing an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Brunel University London, backed by five years of commercial software engineering experience across high-stakes industries. Throughout my career, I have engineered full-scale pipeline drilling simulations at RelyOn Simulation, contributed to nordicMEDiVA—a neurosurgical planning platform at NordicNeuroLab—and delivered mission-critical systems actively deployed by the Navy and Coast Guard. Alongside my graduate studies, I also lead my own software startup.
Having previously taught structured programming and algorithms at the undergraduate level, I know how to break down intimidating technical concepts into clear, digestible steps. In the classroom, I go beyond syntax and textbook exercises—equipping students with the architectural intuition, and industry best practices required to build production-grade software.
