About Veerkamal
Hey everyone, my name is Veerkamal Tiwana and I am biomedical
student at Monash University. To teach you would be a great
opportunity for me to build my expertise on tutoring that would be
helpful for me in my future endeavours. Additionally based on my
previous experience as a tutor, I now consider teaching to be my
passion something I really began to love simply because I would
have the opportunity to inspire you and help you to become a
better student.

I will adopt a step by step approach.
1) Provide context or enough background information so that students have some idea of what the topic will be about.
2) Based on conversations, I would identify strengths and weaknesses of my students and construct a specific strategy that would help them. This is perhaps best explained by an example: If a student struggles with understanding the content, I would help him to visualise the concept via 3d models, provide links to youtube videos, go over the content from scratch.
3) Finally, after a specific period of time, I would ask questions via cue cards or questionnaires to test their knowledge and problem solving ability.
Length of lesson: The lesson would go about an hour on average.
Targeted group: My lessons would be for year 5-9, mathematics and science.
Qualifications: I previously worked as a VCE biology tutor from Contour education.
