I am a kayaker, skier, outdoorsman whole is a nerd. There is nothing wrong about being a nerd!
I graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics in 2020. I am currently enrolled in a graduate program at University of Washington for a M.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics focusing in on Mathematical Biology. I am wanting to become a professor and am planning on getting my PhD in the future.

I never found someone telling me what the answer to a problem helpful; it lacks critical thinking and creativity. I personally believe that understanding the building blocks of any branch in mathematics creates a path to where a complex problem becomes simple. Just like water, math has a flow from start to finish in an elegant way.
If I were to be your tutor, I wouldn't expect us looking at a sheet of paper and going over problem by problem to get an answer, but rather a conversation about the problems and how to approach them. How to recognize what technique is needed to be used to solve the problem. I would help give a better understanding to the building blocks, to where you can take them and build yourself a castle. Maybe not an actual castle, but to be able to make the complex problems simple.
