About Umme

As a current substitute teacher working with grades K–12, I teach new topics daily and have developed a strong ability to explain challenging ideas clearly and confidently. I adapt my teaching to each student’s pace, personality, and learning style, ensuring they feel supported and successful from the very first lesson. Each session begins with a quick check-in on understanding, followed by a structured lesson plan and personalized practice. I provide clear feedback so students always know what to work on next. Students I work with often gain not only higher grades but also a renewed sense of confidence in their learning abilities—a change their teachers and families frequently notice. I create a positive, judgment-free environment where students feel safe asking questions and exploring new ideas.

About the lesson

As a current substitute teacher, I’ve had the unique experience of working with students of all grade levels, abilities, and learning styles. Every day, I step into new classrooms, teach unfamiliar material, and help students quickly understand concepts that might otherwise feel overwhelming. This has allowed me to master the art of breaking down difficult topics into simple, clear, and engaging steps that anyone can follow.
I’m patient, adaptable, and skilled at making students feel confident. Because I work across many subjects and grades, I know how to tailor my teaching to exactly what a student needs, whether it’s support with foundational skills, help catching up, or guidance in mastering advanced concepts.
Most importantly, I truly care about helping students succeed. My goal is not just to help them complete an assignment, but to help them understand the material in a way that sticks, builds confidence, and makes learning enjoyable.
