About Li
I have experience as a teaching intern in both an elementary school and high school. In addition, I have passed two important teaching exams (Praxis 5362 and 5205). I have also spent time in a foreign country, trying to learn and develop my Spanish, so I have experience as a second language learner myself. Part of my teaching philosophy is that I am as much a student as I am a teacher, and I value learning and growing together.

My lessons are for all ages and will be personalized to the students’ interests. Do you like music? I love music! Let’s talk about music. A typical lesson will involve a warmup in the form of a fun but thought provoking question that will spark an interesting conversation. That question always relates to the lesson which builds off of previous lessons. It’s important that lessons are connected. In a unit, the first lesson is introductory and as it progresses, so do the topics and content. Learning English requires four domains that are sure to be developed (listening, speaking, reading, writing). The students will build all of these skills while growing their English fluency and proficiency.
