About Laura
Laura Bean is a Brisbane based artist who completed her Bachelor of Photography at QCA in 2021. Her photographic practice ranges from portraiture and fashion photography, having been published in numerous national and international magazines, to documentary and fine art imagery that often explores topics around mental health. She frequently involves herself in the arts community exhibiting her work locally and interstate. She is available for portrait/family, fashion/beauty, and event/documentary photography around Australia.

Starting from wherever the student feels their current ability is, with either the basics of photography and how to correctly expose a photograph, or starting with the editing process learning how to edit raw photograph using the Adobe suite. Basics include learning about aperture, depth of field, shutter speed, iso, white balance and which lens to use. Editing includes learning how to edit in Photoshop or Lightroom using brightness/contrast, exposure, levels, hue/saturation, colour balance and vibrancy. Advanced learning includes how to retouch using different tools including the dodge and burn tools, clone stamp tool and spot healing brush tools.
