About Niall
I studied my undergraduate degree in philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Manchester, and I am due to begin my post graduate research at the University of York in September. I am happy to help with a wide range of topics and academic skills. These include essay writing, exam preparation, note taking, time management and goal setting.

My teaching methods differ depending on the subject. If possible I would generally ask the people I tutor to submit a previously written essay or exam paper before we commence in order to asses their potential strengths and weaknesses. In the more subjective areas I promote discussion and opinion, looking to promote argument and reason. Whereas with regards to the more objective subjects such as mathematics economics, I believe theory to be the key to understanding, and thus teaching and applying this theory is the way I find the most beneficial to the people I tutor. This being said I am obviously sympathetic to the needs of the student and am happy to adapt to their specific circumstances.
