About Sanele

The high school I attended from 2015-2019 was Maritzburg Boy’s College. Having experienced academic high like coming top 3 in a grade,to lows of getting 30% for an exam,through all of this I was able to achieve 6A’s in my matric year and got accepted to my desired course,mechanical engineering at Tuks and graduated in record time;all of which looked seemingly impossible on my days back in high school.
Ive come to learn that understanding material and assessment writing are skills on their own that have to be worked on simultaneously to increase your chances of performing well in tests and exams;and that is what my tutor sessions aim to offer to you as a struggling student. I worked part time during my university studies as both a tutor and presenter of study skills methods with leading company Elevate Education.
Every student is different with unique thinking patterns and learning styles. The idea is to learn your own learning style and thinking pattern as to formulate an understanding of your work in a way that makes sense to you! And then from then onwards,with a little extra effort ,your results have a higher chance of improving as well as your own confidence in your own ability.
I am a friendly,patient and honest person who gains a great deal of satisfaction in seeing a high school student get that light bulb “Ohhhhhhhh” moment.All I hope as a tutor is to give you as many of these moments as possible

About the lesson

My teaching approach is geared towards reinforcing what you as the student understand and mainly focusing on improving what you are struggling with. Each lesson I’ll prepare a short summary of the topic,we’ll discuss the work briefly and then delve into solving problem questions that are presented to you at your school.
My language of teaching is in English and/or isiZulu.
My services are aimed at students who wish to improve their understanding of the material,which should subsequently improve their results in assessments.
My teaching style is slow paced and tailored to the students specific needs. However,I must note that it is not a spoon feeding session,the aim is to improve your toolkit,however,you as the student are still the craftsperson.
