About Akintunde
I am currently an MSc Economics student at the University of York with a strong academic background in mathematics, and quantitative techniques.
I enjoy helping students develop confidence in subjects that are often perceived as difficult. Mathematics and statistics become much easier when concepts are explained clearly and connected to logical problem-solving steps. My goal is to help students understand the underlying ideas rather than simply memorising formulae.

My lessons focus on building strong conceptual understanding in mathematics, statistics, and further mathematics while also improving problem-solving speed and exam performance. I work with GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate students who want to strengthen their quantitative skills or prepare for examinations.
Each lesson is typically 60 to 90 minutes and structured in three stages: review of key concepts, guided problem solving, and independent practice with feedback. I adapt explanations to the student’s learning style and focus on areas where students often struggle, such as algebraic reasoning, calculus intuition, probability concepts, and statistical interpretation.
As a graduate of Mathematics, I emphasise logical thinking, step-by-step problem solving, and practical applications so that students gain both confidence and mastery of the material.
