About Cerys
I began tutoring my peers in math and science courses in 2017 and have continued to tutor one-on-one in elementary math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, ACT, and SAT preparation since then.
As a student, I scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT and SAT, and in the 100th percentile on the MCAT. I am also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was consistently on the Dean's List before graduating from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Medicine, Health, & Society with a minor in Spanish.

I believe in creating a welcoming and trusting environment with my students so they feel comfortable asking questions and voicing confusion about the material. I enjoy working through problems alongside my students, then having them try similar questions individually, and I am always there to assist them in this process. I studied Neuroscience, Public Health, and Spanish on the pre-medical track, so I understand the struggle with difficult material, and hope to make these courses less daunting and more fun!
I am prepared to tutor a range of elementary, high school, and college STEM and social science courses.
