About Darian
I began tutoring math in high school as a peer tutor. I then tutored at Dyersburg State Community College, where I became head math tutor of the math department for traditional, winter, and summer terms . After graduating from Dyersburg State Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Secondary Education, I enrolled as a full time student at the University of Tennessee - Martin. While there, I served as a STEM Intern, and math tutor. I graduated UT Martin with a Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education with an Emphases in Mathematics. After graduating, I taught Special Ed. students, grades 6-8, and I currently teach high school, grades 9-12,Foundational Mathematics, Algebra 1, and ACT Math.

I believein one on one instruction and by teaching with examples. A typical lesson plan includes examples that the the student and I work on together, and then letting the student work independently, so that I can see whether or not they are grasping the concepts. My interpersonal skills, and communication methods set me apart from other tutors. I am very down to earth and very encouraging. We will work through mistakes, and fix errors in your learning. I would like to help anyone needing help in foundational math skills, Algebra 1, ACT Math, or Bridge Math.
