About TIMOTHY
As a tutor, I am committed to maintaining the highest level of professionalism in every lesson. I bring not only academic qualifications from Moi University but also practical experience in teaching Mathematics, Business Studies, Accounting, and Finance, which allows me to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively. My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization, blending clarity, engagement, and practical application. I emphasize conceptual foundations so students grasp the “why” behind formulas and principles, and I break complex topics into step-by-step explanations. I encourage interactive learning through questions, discussions, and problem-solving, and I connect abstract concepts to real-life scenarios in business, finance, and daily mathematics. I also incorporate exercises, quizzes, case studies, and visual aids such as charts and diagrams to reinforce understanding.
A typical lesson begins with a brief recap of previous material, followed by a clear introduction to new concepts with examples. I then guide students through step-by-step problem-solving, gradually encouraging independent practice through exercises or case studies. The lesson ends with a summary of key takeaways, reflection on the material, and optional practice to reinforce learning.
