About Ethan
Hi, my name is Ethan. I am from a small town in Southern Maine called Hollis. I grew up going to the beach during the summer and gained a real passion for nature and the ocean. After high school, I went to college for Marine Science at the University of New England. Directly after my graduation, I got a job working at NOAA as a Fisheries Observer.

I enjoy applying the specifics of what is being learned to the bigger picture. For example, if I was teaching about how and why animals are warm-blooded I would break down how it works and then give specific examples of animals that use that system and why it is important. Explaining topics in a more digestible way has always been a natural skill for me, and I have had multiple positions where mentoring and training are a large part of the job. I have a very in-depth knowledge of the field of biology, so my lessons would be best suited for high school to college-aged students.
