About Lucy
I am a Politics and International Relations graduate from the University of Manchester (2:1), with a Postgraduate Certificate in International Law. I have a strong academic background in political theory, international relations, policy-making and human rights law.
Alongside my studies, I have worked in roles that included delivering workshops and supporting English as a Second Language learners and internationally trained professionals preparing for exams.
I am particularly passionate about helping students build confidence in essay writing and critical thinking. Having recently completed my own degree and postgraduate study, I understand what examiners are looking for and how to achieve top grades.

My lessons are structured, engaging and tailored to each student’s specific goals. Whether you are preparing for GCSE, A-Level or studying Politics at degree level, I focus on building both subject understanding and exam technique.
At GCSE and A-Level, lessons typically include:
• Breakdowns of key political concepts, ideologies and case studies
• Essay planning and structured writing practice
• Mark scheme analysis and exam technique
• Revision strategies and timed practice
At degree level, I support with:
• Developing strong, critical arguments
• Essay structure and academic writing
• Political theory and IR frameworks
• Research skills and refining coursework or dissertations
Lessons are interactive and discussion based, encouraging students to articulate their ideas clearly.
My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and leave each lesson feeling more confident.
