About Faiz
I just graduated from UCR with a degree in Microbiology. As a 21-year-old, I understand the rigors of certain classes at all levels and would like to assist whoever I can to the best of my ability. It is important for my students to enjoy the learning process. As a recent basketball coach, I'm used to working alongside the youth and creating environments of trust and encouragement. I plan to do the same with tutoring and look forward to helping you succeed in your classes!

I think it is important for students to learn from their mistakes by doing practice problems. For any areas that they are struggling with, I plan on incorporating practice problems in order for my students to improve in any difficult concepts. As a recently graduated college student, I recognize the importance of connecting to my peers on an interpersonal level. It is essential for myself to establish an environment of comfort and trust with the students I work with at all times.
A typical lesson plan would likely include going through any problems that a student would be struggling with. I would then explain confusing concepts to the student and introduce hands-on exercises to be done during the tutoring session. Finally, I'd provide practice problems for the student to do after the session in order to turn those areas of weakness into areas of strength! In the following session, the student and I would review those questions together!
