About Bella
I just graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering. During my time there, I played soccer all four years on a full scholarship. I was the president of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and now I’m currently working as an engineer. It’s always been my dream to teach, but I truly believe one-on-one is how I’ll be most effective.

I grew up having to do math books every summer and non-negotiable guitar and piano lessons. Little did I know both of those things would stick with me after I graduated college and left home. I love working with kids and helping them learn in a fun, encouraging way. I offer math tutoring for young students, focusing on building confidence and making math easy to understand. I also teach beginner guitar lessons, where kids can explore music, learn the basics, and enjoy playing songs step by step. My goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where kids feel excited to learn and grow.

I’ve known Bella for a while now and she is so nice and so caring. She would be an excellent and trustworthy teacher to have who wants to see you do well and thrive.
I had never been able to play guitar until Bella taught me how to. She was very patient and took time out of her day to teach me for free. She taught me the fundamentals of strumming and the basic guitar chords until I was very functional in that area. She was a great help and made it so simple to learn the guitar. I highly recommend her as a guitar teacher.
