About Rhys
I have a wide range of experience in writing, both fiction and non-fiction; whilst attending the University of Warwick I was a regular contributor for the student-run newspaper, 'The Boar,' as well as the Deputy Editor for the Uncanny literary magazine, and the News Editor for The Warwick Tab. I have experience working in numerous secondary schools, teaching both KS3 and KS4 pupils, and have a passion for literature and its role in education, in particular, when it comes to 20th century literature and creative writing.

1) Introducing pupils to the broader literary, social, political contexts of set texts. For example: why did Orwell write 'Animal Farm?' What was the political context of his time? How can it be connected to his other literary and non-fiction works? How did its publication influence society?
2) Guidelines in how to produce creative writing: the importance of perspective, style, tone, genre, audience, e.c.t.
3) An overview of literature: (Fiction, Poetry, Drama), from WW1 to contemporary literature.
