About Beverly
I bring over 15 years of experience as a teacher, mentor, and academic leader. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential. I hold a Master’s in Healthcare Administration and Bachelor's in Education. I have a strong foundation in education, which has taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and clear communication. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students on both an academic and personal level—I take time to understand their learning styles, strengths, and areas for growth. My sessions are structured but flexible, ensuring each student feels supported and challenged. Parents and students can feel confident knowing I am dedicated, professional, and committed to measurable progress. I believe every student learns differently, I identify each learner’s strengths, challenges, and preferred learning style. My approach combines clear explanations, interactive activities, and guided practice to ensure students truly understand the material. I use questioning techniques to encourage critical thinking and real-world examples to make lessons relevant and engaging. I also place a strong emphasis on building confidence, so students not only master content but also feel empowered in their learning.
A Typical Lesson Plan include the following:
Warm-Up/Review – A quick check-in on the previous lesson or related skills to activate prior knowledge.
Lesson Objective – Clearly outlining what we’ll accomplish in the session.
Instruction & Demonstration – Explaining new concepts using step-by-step examples, visuals, or hands-on practice.
Guided Practice – Working through problems or activities together, with feedback and correction.
Independent Practice – Allowing the student to try on their own, reinforcing responsibility and mastery.
Reflection & Next Steps – Summarizing what was learned, addressing questions, and setting small goals for the next session.

As a senior teacher and department head for over 15 years, I have successfully guided diverse groups of students to excel academically. I don’t just focus on content—I also help students develop study habits, time management, and self-confidence.
