- I make PowerPoint slides to explain the topic, after explanation, I go through examples and sample questions with the student. Then, I like to let the student answer some questions on their own until they get the hang of it. I like to give a small quiz on the topic at the end to make sure the student is comfortable with the topic. If I feel that the student needs more practice, I will sometimes assign some homework if I feel it is necessary.
- My lessons usually take 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
- I am not a qualified teacher, but I have been tutoring students aged 9-16 for over four years now. I have been a volunteer tutor with the Leeds Refugee Forum for almost a year, and I was a Maths and English tutor in my high school.
