About Christopher

I am a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Biology and minors in Applied Biotechnology, Biomedical Physiology, and Business. I am now a medical researcher at UAB and will go to medical school later on. I have 7 years of experience tutoring middle school, high school, and college students. Referrals are available upon request. I ask that you email me at (concealed information) to discuss if I am the right tutor for you or your child. I am available online and in person. My rates start at $30/hour depending on the subject, difficulty level, and time commitment required.

About the lesson

I personalize each lesson based on the specific assignments assigned to the student. I have 7 years worth of further practice and study resources beyond that of what students may be assigned in class. My typical lessons begin with an overview of the topic, then some practice questions provided by me, and then we dive into the assignments from class.

Not enough superlatives to describe Christopher and his great big brain and exceptional ability to teach what he knows! We have known Christopher for many years and in addition to being one of the smartest of our daughter's friends, he is also one of the most motivated young men around. He has breadth and depth of knowledge in so many subjects but most specifically the sciences and Biology in particular. He has a unique (and necessary for tutoring) ability to hear the question as it is really being asked and immediately have thought of the exact best way to translate that into something the student he is working with can actually understand and apply. Our 3 kids have all both received and given tutoring to others and one of the things that they always said was so frustrating was asking a question of their tutor and having the tutor respond with an answer that didn't make sense. Then, when they let the tutor know it still didn't make sense to them, the tutor would respond with the literal same response/answer just given that was NOT understood. That approach is useless and a waste of money. With Christopher, any question asked will be a question not only answered but also, and most importantly, UNDERSTOOD! Highly recommend him and would give him as many stars for a rating as are available!
