About Mia

I am an architect, designer, visual artist, and educator with several years of experience teaching creative, academic, and language-based subjects to learners of all ages and backgrounds. I teach online and adapt every session to the student’s goals, level, and learning style. I hold a Bachelor of Architecture from the American University of Beirut and an MFA in Arts and Humanities at the Royal College of Arts in London. Alongside teaching, I have professional experience as a senior product designer, as well as a visual artist. I offer tutoring in architecture and design fundamentals, portfolio development for universities, and digital tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Rhinoceros 3D. I am trilingual in French, Arabic, and English, and I focus on building confidence, critical thinking, and clarity, whether you are preparing for exams, applying to art or architecture school, developing a portfolio, or learning new creative tools. My teaching style is supportive, structured, and practical. I aim to help students not only improve their skills, but also understand how to think, design, and communicate their ideas effectively.

About the lesson

I teach French (all levels, including conversation and exam preparation such as the French Baccalauréat), Arabic conversation (Lebanese dialect), visual arts and photography, architecture and design fundamentals, portfolio development for university and art school applications, and digital tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, AutoCAD, and Rhinoceros 3D. Lessons are fully tailored to the student’s needs and goals. Before starting, we discuss what you want to achieve—whether that’s improving language fluency, preparing an exam, developing a portfolio, or learning a specific software. Sessions can include guided exercises, practical demonstrations, feedback on ongoing work, and structured skill-building. For creative subjects, I often combine technical guidance with conceptual development. Lessons can take place online or in person, depending on your preference. My teaching approach is student-centred and adaptive. I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and focus on practical application. I encourage questions, experimentation, and critical thinking. For languages, I prioritise confidence and real-life usage. For design and visual arts, I balance technical skills with conceptual clarity and strong presentation. My goal is to help students become independent, confident learners who understand both the process and the outcome. My lessons are suitable for school students, university students, and adults. I work with beginners as well as advanced learners, including students applying to art, design, or architecture schools, professionals seeking to improve digital skills, and anyone interested in learning French, Arabic conversation, or creative subjects.
