About Raina

I was born to be a vet nurse, but I also love to share my experience and knowledge of the industry! I am passionate about mentoring junior nurses and helping them develop their clinical skills.
About me: I’m a pet parent to an Airedale Terrier and a rescue Staghound. I also have a cat (but he definitely prefers my husband’s company). In addition to working in a 24-hour Specialty Veterinary hospital I also volunteer with Vets Beyond Borders. My most recent trip was to the Torres Strait and I’m looking forward to my next trip later this year.

About the lesson

If past students were asked to describe my teaching style, they would all agree that I am passionate and patient. My areas of expertise include Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine and Oncology, and my special interest area is diagnostics. I have experience training and tutoring students of all ages, learning styles and neurodivergence. I connect with students using all methods of communication, whether that be email, phone call or Zoom, in one-on-one sessions or a small group, and sessions can be designed for one hour, up to a full day.
