About Oluwaseyi

Hello! My name is Oluwaseyi Festus , and I’m a BSc Chemistry/Education graduate with a genuine passion for teaching and helping students discover that Mathematics and Chemistry can be much easier than they sometimes seem.

What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing the moment a student finally understands a topic that they previously found difficult. I believe learning should not be about memorizing answers—it should be about understanding, asking questions, practicing, and gradually becoming confident enough to solve problems independently.

I’m a patient and approachable tutor, and I always try to create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable saying, “I don’t understand,” without feeling embarrassed. I believe that every question is an opportunity to learn.

With my background in Chemistry and Education, I combine subject knowledge with teaching methods that I adapt to each student's age, level, and learning pace. Whether you are just starting to build your foundation in Mathematics or Chemistry, working through challenging topics, or preparing for examinations, I’m here to support you step by step.

My goal is to make learning clearer, more enjoyable, and less stressful while helping every student become more confident in their own ability.

My Teaching Approach

I’m a BSc Chemistry/Education graduate and a passionate tutor who enjoys helping students understand Mathematics and Chemistry in a simple, practical, and enjoyable way.

I believe every student can learn when a subject is explained in a way that matches their level and learning style. My approach is patient, interactive, and focused on building both understanding and confidence.

How I Teach

I don't believe in simply giving students answers. Instead, I guide them through the learning process so they understand how and why a solution works.

During my lessons, I:

Explain difficult topics using simple, clear language.
Break complex problems into small, manageable steps.
Use worked examples and practice questions to develop problem-solving skills.
Relate concepts to real-life and practical examples, especially in Chemistry.
Encourage students to ask questions and participate actively.
Adapt lessons to the student's age, ability, school level, and learning goals.
Use revision exercises and short assessments to identify areas that need improvement.
Provide a supportive environment where students can learn at their own pace and feel comfortable making mistakes.

Lesson Duration

Lessons are usually 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student's age, level, concentration, and learning objectives.

Each lesson is structured around the student's needs, whether they want to understand a difficult topic, complete schoolwork, revise for an examination, or improve their overall performance.

My Qualifications

I have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry/Education, giving me a strong background in Chemistry as well as educational theory and teaching methods.

This combination allows me to approach tutoring from both a subject knowledge and teaching perspective.

I welcome students from approximately ages 5 to 20, from Primary School through Lower and Upper Secondary/High School.
