About Josie
I am qualified to tutor students because I have experience in tutoring, dating back to my sophomore year of high school (about 7 years ago). Additionally, I worked in behavior analysis, so I am able to help mitigate many behaviors that make it difficult for students to learn. Finally, I currently work as a long-term substitute teacher, teaching 7th through 12th grade students in multiple different subjects including english, math, history, choir and guitar.

I like to teach with a specified approach for each student, finding their strong suits and catering to those to relay the information to them. Because I have a background in behavior analysis, I am able to adjust the way I teach for each individual. Additionally, I like to encourage creative ways to remember information, such as creating songs, stories, acronyms and mnemonic devices.
I will focus on making sure students are able to both understand and apply the material they are trying to learn.
