About Effie

Hello there! I'm Effie, a 27-year-old who loves to learn languages, read, write, and travel! I live in New York State in the United States and am a native English speaker.

While getting to know my students on a personal and academic level, the levels of professionalism kept are very high. Conversations had between myself and the student will be kept appropriate and within the realms of our lesson for that day.

I'm happy to have conversations about whatever the student would like, within reason. Truly, my goals and intentions are held within the bounds of ensuring an educationally productive experience.

I'm looking forward to speaking with you and your interests to create an individual lesson plan to get you speaking and writing like a native speaker.

About the lesson

Hi there! My name is Effie and I'm excited to be your tutor! My teaching style is based on what the student a) needs and b) wants to learn. I'm a native English speaker and will be able to teach you the language and sound like a native in a neutral tone. A typical lesson plan from me is as follows; initially getting to know the student as far as academic requests go is crucial to a better experience. This will help me to create a specialized and personalized lesson plan for each i student. That alone sets me apart from other tutors in addition to providing a safe, welcoming, and understanding environment while teaching in a grounded manner. My lessons are for anyone and everyone of all degrees and grade levels. However, I'm able to assist with creative writing or cultural items if requested by the student! If someone is interested in something, they are more likely to retain it.
