About William
My French journey began in high school and continued when I went to college. I graduated with a degree in French and Francophone studies with a minor in Urban Education from Santa Clara University. While in college, I spent a semester in Dakar, Senegal studying Human Rights and French. I spent the last three years of undergrad as a tutor and as a teacher's assistant in beginner, intermediate, and upper level French courses. After graduation, I spent three months doing work exchanges with families in rural areas of France. I have worked with students ages 3-18+ since I was sixteen years old in various inside and outside the classroom roles. I am extremely patient and understanding when it comes to working with students. I am here to meet you where you are and to help in any way that I can.

The process of learning a foreign language can be extremely rewarding while at the same time frustrating. I worked as a teacher's assistant and tutor in beginner, intermediate, and upper division French classes at university working with students during these times of frustration. My goal as a tutor is to meet students where they are and help them believe that they are capable of so much more. I specialize in beginner and intermediate grammar to help students build a solid base in the French language. Whether you are looking to improve your writing, speaking, reading, or have specific questions regarding vocabulary or grammar structures, we can take the time to get you where you need to be.
