About Alyssa
Hello, my name is Alyssa. I am currently a graduate student working on my master’s degree in Science. I am currently working as a medical scribe, working along side providers daily. I have taken this opportunity to learn more and hopefully share my knowledge with younger generations. I believe that the concept of tutoring is very important with processing information in a more detailed manner. I have also worked with tutors within the past that have successfully helped me achieve where I am today!

As being a very visual learner myself, I like to take the same approach when tutoring my students. It helps to fully interpret each step that goes into learning subjects in school. I break down everything, describe the reasoning behind everything to limit as much confusion.
A typical lesson plan:
1. discuss the confusion of a specific topic/problem
2. Elaborate why it is confusing
3. Break down the topic/problem into categories
4. Generate a plan of action specific to the students learning techniques
5. Go through step-by-step to solve the topic/problem
6.re-evaluate the the problem solved and discuss the confusion from the beginning
I believe it is very important that the students I am tutoring can properly walk away from a tutoring session and successfully complete problems on there own .
