About Micaela

I'm a Portuguese singer from Madeira, now based in London and working as a professional performer. Having trained at the Royal Academy of Music and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, I'm actively auditioning for professional productions and international work - which means I can bring real-world experience to every lesson. I'm passionate about helping singers discover what their voice can truly do. Whether you're nervous about singing in front of others, preparing for a big audition, or just want to sing for the joy of it, I create a supportive space where you can take risks, ask questions, and grow at your own pace. My teaching style is encouraging but structured - you'll always know what we're working on and why. And yes, we'll have fun along the way. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a student have that 'aha!' moment when something finally clicks.

About the lesson

I offer personalised singing lessons in classical technique, opera, and musical theatre (including mix, belt, and contemporary styles). Whether you're a complete beginner or preparing for conservatoire/drama school auditions, I'll meet you where you are and help you build a strong, healthy, and expressive voice. In our lessons, you'll: Develop healthy, sustainable technique that protects your voice; Learn how to access your full range with confidence; Work on repertoire that showcases your unique strengths; Prepare audition material that makes you stand out; Understand the 'why' behind every exercise. I have a BMus in Vocal Studies from the Royal Academy of Music and MA in Musical Theatre: Acting and Performance from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. With 10+ years of performing experience and currently working and auditioning as a professional singer in London. Lessons are 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your needs and goals. Every session is structured but flexible - we'll focus on what matters most to YOU.
