About Evie

I am a recent Music graduate from Oxford University, having spent my summers tutoring local children to prepare for entrance tests, GCSEs, and generally keeping maths and literacy skills fresh. I also spent a year working as a teaching assistant in a school, often called upon last minute to provide cover for lessons.

I have ADHD and have lots of tips and tricks which help me enjoy learning and revising, even when content is hard. This also helps me to have an interest in lots of different subjects.

Even though I am a Music specialist, I love teaching maths, science, and languages too. I have specific experience tutoring 8-16 year olds, and classroom experience with 4-18 year olds. I am currently supporting several students in preparation for their GCSE exams (in Music, Maths, and Latin) as well as supporting general Y5 and Y7 homework. I am happy to tutor any age and level provided you think we are a good fit. Your joy in learning is the top priority!

About the lesson

All lessons have a student-focused approach, ensuring that the pace and content covered is working for you. I am keen to work with you to set objectives and learning goals. Typically, lessons range from 30 mins - 90 mins, with the option to cover multiple subjects or topics, or focus on specific areas within each session.

I am available to tutor any subject up to GCSE level including:
- Maths
- English
- Sciences (combined or separate)
- History
- Languages: French, Spanish, German, Latin
- Music (up to A level)

I am also happy to help with the University admissions process. All ages and levels are very welcome. I look forward to helping you achieve your learning goals. Do get in touch to see if we are a good fit!

Details

For in-person lessons, I charge the 2025-26 Oxford Living Wage of £13.16 per hour, adjusted to the amount of travelling time required.

For example, if you live 20 minutes away, I will undertake a 40 minute round trip. You would pay 2/3 of the hour's living wage on top of the lesson fee (in this example, 2/3 of £13.16 = £8.69).
