About Ryan
I have a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and I plan on going to medical school in the city to continue my education journey. I have always loved helping people and I have such a love and passion for science and medicine. I myself have dealt with a multitude of medical problems throughout my life, so I feel like I can really connect with the patients I'll end up taking care of. I also love to play video games with my friends, play piano and saxophone, and overall just have a good time. If you don't incorporate fun into education, then people are missing out on so much. My lessons are completely about you and the best way I can make your time worthwhile. Now even saying that, I will always take the first 10 or so minutes of each lesson to go over and quiz you on last week's material. I will encourage my students to try and do the problem on their own even if they do not think they can do it, because most of the time they can. It is a really good tool to build confidence. Furthermore, since I tutor a lot of math, each step is very important in getting the correct answer, so I try and make sure each student knows and does the steps each time. It is tedious and annoying, but it ensures they get the right grade. I also always make jokes and I try and make the sessions feel as friendly as normal.
