About Fiona
I am a recent college graduate invested in culturally responsive pedagogy and utilizing arts education to promote well-rounded students' cultural understanding. My favorite mediums include drawing, linocut printmaking, and glass torch working. I enjoy practicing a variety of mediums and learning from new artists. In my free time, I enjoy being outside, practicing yoga, socializing, and sleeping.

My lessons meet state standards and include cross-curricular connections. I value including differentiation and building lessons off of expressed student interests. A typical lesson includes referencing relevant art history/contemporary artists, pre-planning concepts, practicing techniques, and then developing the final work.
What sets me apart as an educator is my drive for cross-curricular connections in visual arts. Understanding how artistic development can be scaffolded into aspects of social and emotional development and utilized to facilitate understanding of additional core subjects can strengthen a student's understanding of coursework.
