About Pearlyn
I graduated from Columbia University as a Fulbright Scholar. My work as a qualitative sociologist has brought me all around the world, meeting people from all different walks of life. My previous research projects include helping low-income single mothers get the help they needed, investigating homelessness and food insecurity in Singapore, and woking with a tech start-up to develop a mobile app for waste collectors. My most recent work was to use qualitative methods to understand how safe spaces can help youths who are struggling with mental health concerns.
