About Maisha
Hi, I'm Maisha! I'm a recent Sociology & Criminology graduate with a 2:1, and I love helping students build confidence in subjects that can sometimes seem complicated or intimidating.
I can help with Sociology, Criminology, essay writing, exam preparation, research methods and study skills. Having recently completed my own degree and dissertation, I understand the challenges students face and know how frustrating it can be when you understand a topic but aren't sure how to turn that understanding into a strong essay or exam answer.
My approach is friendly, patient and tailored to each student. I want lessons to feel comfortable and encouraging, while still helping you make real academic progress. Rather than simply giving you answers, I'll help you develop the skills and confidence to work things out independently.
My goal is simple: to help you understand your subject, feel more confident and achieve the grades you're capable of.

My approach to tutoring is first figuring out what best suits and accommodates you! Everyone learns differently so it's about finding the best methodology for you.
Typical length of a lesson will be 50 minutes - to what you think is best - again it's about the time you need.
We'll be using the time efficiently and catered to your abilities.
My qualifications as a tutor is my degree in Sociology & Criminology as well as my years before that doing Sociology in A-levels and GCSEs!
My lessons will be for those who are 17+ and are either doing their A-levels or are in University.
