About Laurie
I achieved Grade 9s in GCSE Maths, Biology, and Chemistry and went on to study all three at IB level. With previous tutoring experience, I adapt my teaching style to suit each student's individual needs and the way they learn best.
I take a friendly and encouraging approach, helping students build confidence and achieve their potential.
Having taken my GCSEs only a few years ago, I understand the challenges students face and can offer practical advice and support from recent experience.
While I enjoy teaching all three subjects, Biology is my particular passion, and I am looking forward to studying it at Durham University from September.

I tailor lessons to what each student needs, whether that's preparing for GCSE exams, improving confidence in a subject, or getting extra support with schoolwork. This could include working through difficult topics, helping with homework, developing exam technique, or simply building a stronger understanding of the subject.
Lessons are usually one hour long, but I'm happy to adapt the length if something different would work better.
Based in Cheltenham, UK, I offer both in-person tutoring locally and online lessons.
