About Alice

I spent my early college years studying classical voice and more traditional music styles all the while wondering how you got to be in a touring band and do the things that music school didn’t teach you.

I now have been a performer-composer for over sixteen years. After a decade of playing music in Seattle I packed my bags for southern California and currently reside in Los Angeles, Ca.

I’m a founding member of the band La Luz and spent over ten years working, writing, recording, and touring with the band. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with producers such as Ty Segall, Dan Auerbach, and Adrian Younge.

Along with my collaborative work, I also have my own solo material that I write, arrange, perform, and co-produce in the recording process.

I did my graduate studies at The California Institute of the Arts (Calarts) and graduated in the Spring of 2024 with a Masters degree in Music Performance and Composition.

In addition to my own creative work as a musician and songwriter, I also am an educator/lecturer, teach my online courses and offer private 1-1 mentoring for artists.

About the lesson

I have been a professional performer-composer for over sixteen years writing music as both a solo artist and collaborator. I’ve toured all over the world with the band La Luz, worked with record labels such as Subpop and Hardly Art, and musician/producers such as Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), Ty Segall and Adrian Younge. In May of 2024 I completed my graduate studies and received my MFA in performance and composition at The California Institute of the Arts.

I love helping artists achieve their creative dreams and know, first hand, the value of putting your work into the world. I have been where you are and I want to help you.

You know there’s a creative voice inside of you that wants to speak louder but it’s not always easy to get it out.

You’ve been itching to finish a musical idea, an album, or to perform your work but sometimes you come up against obstacles that hold you back- either internally or externally.

Maybe you think your idea is stupid, or you think you don’t know enough, or that you’re too busy.

But you know, really, that on the other side of those blocks is a huge sense of satisfaction and empowerment. All you need is a bit of coaching and some methodical steps to get you there.

I’m here to help guide you through the process so that you can reach your creative goals and let that musical voice out.
