About Sophia

I have helped several students raise their grades in French up a letter grade, and overall improve their confidence in the language. My passion, degree from a top university, and experience both as a student and tutor allows me to help break down learning challenges and set you up for success. I can help prep you for AP French exams, or help you in day-to-day homework assignments. When I'm not tutoring, I'm studying acting, on a run, or drawing.

About the lesson

I can help with homework and write practice quizzes or tests based on your needs. I work both one-on-one and in a group setting. I will work with you in detail to help break down difficult and seemingly enigmatic grammar rules in French that can provide structure and a "rule-book" when it is common to not have one when teaching the language. Not being a native speaker allows me to approach the language from the outside in, so I can transfer the tips that worked with me when I was learning.
I can teach elementary to college-level students, either remotely or in person in Manhattan.
