About Courtney
I have professional experience teaching 4th and 5th grade Math and Science. I also taught after school covering various subjects and age groups. I also was a tutor part-time throughout high school and undergrad helping mostly my peers conquer those tough subjects. I am approachable and friendly, but will push you when necessary. Think of me as like your cool older sister or auntie.

I have worked with elementary kids from all walks of life- advanced and also struggling. I break things down to ways you understand and try to make your success in the classroom as simple and easy as possible. I pride myself in being a master “crammer” for big/scary exams and have gotten many of my peers and students to follow my study techniques to ace that test. I am a no fluff and all essentials type of teacher because you have a lot of things going on and you don’t need more than what is necessary to excel in that subject! I love to share my funny memorization methods that really stick. My kids called me the “cool” teacher because I am real with them as long as they are real with me. I was known for giving the bare bones “Spark Notes” type of lecture. If you want effective methods and realistic results-I’m your tutor!
