About Jonathan

Everyone has their own optimal learning style and I'm here to help give you a tailored learning experience. Are you a visual learner? Do you like a lot examples and analogies? Do you learn best from someone who's very involved in every step of the session or do you prefer a more laid back approach where your tutor mainly speaks up when you have a question? Whatever your learning style is, anyone can benefit from one of my sessions.

About the lesson

Everyone learns things differently. Able to approach sessions from different angles, I try to meet students where they're at and help connect the dots between what they're learning with what they already know.

Here's an example list of study topics I can teach:

A coding principles session with me is geared more towards new programmers and/or people learning JavaScript or Python. These will typically begin with you summarizing what you've been studying and maybe what you've been struggling to grasp. I might give a quick crash course in my own words/with a different perspective before breaking down in detail the topic for the day.

A DS&A workshop or coding interview session will involve me picking out a DS&A problem in a subject/topic you request and either presenting it to you like you were in a real coding interview or helping you break down step by step how to approach the problem, brainstorm possible approaches and implement a functional solution.

All sessions will wrap up with a summary on how you did and key areas you need to work on. As well as a time for you to give me feedback on how I did as a tutor and what you liked/disliked about our session. You will also be given a sheet with my summary notes to refer back to in the future.
