About MARIA LUZ
I am a graduate of B.S Food Technology from the University of the Philippines. I worked in the food industry for more than 15 years in the Philippines. I have acquired Training Certifications which include Certified Servsafe Instructor, Certified HACCP Manager, Certified Food Safety Auditor, among others.
As an Instructor/Coach or Tutor, I make sure that my students clearly understand what I am teaching. II use illustrations and examples to elucidate the main principles in each module that I teach. Short quizzes and assignments are given in order to check the learning progress of my students.
If ever they cannot understand some lessons, I encourage them to ask questions so that I can explain and clarify new concepts. They can send me an email or ask their questions during the tutorial.

I use power-point and video presentation in teaching and one-on-one discussion with the student; My lessons are for college students taking up Food Science/Food Technology as a subject in High School and for college students who have Food Safety as a subject in College; but the level of teaching will be customized according to the type of students I am teaching. Typical modules of my Lesson Plan will include Food Safety Hazards, Causes of Food-Borne Illnesses, Personal Hygiene, Sanitation Principles.
